| Are you aged 10 to 16? Are looking for a fun and exciting challenge. Time to developing your Paddle sport skills? HLH are proud to offer the Zero to hero course incorporating BCU awards. You can work your way through the different skill levels one after the other, or start at the level you or your coach feel suits you best. During each day you will have a different challenge. Day 1: learn to paddle your boat on flat water practicing rescuing each other and yourself Day 2: Go for a journey on the canal learning how to spot hazards and make good safety decisions, improving your paddle skills on the way. Day 3: Paddle on a more open stretch of water with challenging wind conditions and practice more rescues in preparation for day 4 on the river. Day 4: spend the day on the river in canoes on a journey. Learn how to read the river and anticipate the flow improving your paddle skills as you go! Day 5: back onto the river improving skills and awareness and making time to set up a lunch stop and cook some lunch. During this course you will learn a variety of Paddle sport skills and challenges to improve your knowledge – all in a fun and flexible way. This is a 5 day course. This course will take place at on the canal, lochs and rivers. This is a water based activity. All instruction and equipment provided please bring a change of clothing and a towel.
